Joshua Wallnofer was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He was blessed to have a grandmother who served as a missionary in the city with Child Evangelism Fellowship and a Grandfather who was an Evangelist in Baltimore, and came to Christ as His Lord at a young age. He first sensed God’s call to enter the ministry right after his salvation as a young man on a summer evening listening to a message on ministry preached by an evangelist from Scotland named John Bissett. He began his training by enrolling at the Philadelphia College of the Bible (now Cairn University). He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Tyndale Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Pastor Joshua has been in ministry since the year 2000, and served in New Jersey as a Full-Time Youth Pastor before coming to Pensacola as Pastor of Klondike Baptist Church in 2004. His passion is to see the city of Pensacola transformed by training God’s Church with dynamic, expository teaching of God’s Word, personal discipleship, and hands-on incarnational service.
He seeks to lead the congregation of his church to love God and the community of Pensacola better together by loving their city, serving their city, and living as missionaries in their city. Some of Pastor’s personal favorite ministries include serving at Waterfront Rescue Mission, Nothing Lost Outreach, and Reimagine events throughout the city of Pensacola.
Joshua and his wife, Melissa (married 2001), are blessed to have one son, Samuel, and one daughter, Lydia. In their free time, they enjoy catching a few games of Pensacola’s own MiLB team the Blue Wahoos, Pensacola’s hockey team the SPHL Ice Flyers, and listening to as many Baltimore Orioles and watching as many Baltimore Ravens games as time permits. Josh loves a lot of music styles and artists, and some of his favorites, in no particular order, include Chris Tomlin, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Selah, Handel, “Voice” Curt Allen, Page CXVI, Stuart Towend, Brahmns, Shai Linne, Mozart, Lecrae, and Sovereign Grace Music. His favorite books outside of the Bible include biographies and autobiographies of past leaders like D.L. Moody; George Whitefield; Martin Luther King Jr., John Newton, Booker T. Washington, Athanasius, Adoniram Judson, Martin Luther, and William Tyndale. He loves good theology, books on missional thinking, and strong coffee, and the writer that has ministered to him most outside of Scripture is J.C. Ryle. He contends everyone should read Ryle’s Expository Thoughts on The Gospels side by side with their Bible at least once in their lifetime.
